Beautiful Sunset--Canvas Contest

This is one of my many favorite accidents! Anyone believe this was taken on the Ohio River? With a point and shoot? Not kidding!

I am entering this photo in the MCP Actions/Color Inc. Win a Gallery Wrap Canvas Photo Contest at http://mcpactions.com/blog. I certify that I took this photo and give both parties permission to use this photograph on their blogs/sites.
Wish me luck!!

Portrait Party!! Take Advantage NOW!

Have you ever hosted a tupperware party? What about a purse party? Well, if you have, then Portait Parties are very similar! It is a party, you are the hostess (with the mostest), lots of fun and best of all, free photos for YOU!!

What is a Portrait Party?
Portrait Parties are an exciting opportunity for you and your friends to have professional portraits made in a fun and affordable way. Portrait Parties take place in your home (if you are the host) or any other suitable location, like a park or outdoors. The host invites between 4 (minimum) and 8 families to the party. It is a low stress fun opportunity to have beautiful portraits made of your family in a low pressure, relaxed atmosphere.

What does it take to host a Portrait Party?
Hosting a party is simple and straightforward with minimal responsibilities. Hosts are asked to provide a pre-prepared (furniture removed, etc…) open room large enough to be transformed into a photo studio (minimum space of approximately 13x16 is ideal) preferably out of the way of the rest of the party. Outdoor settings are also possible within season, weather permitting. Hosts are also asked to provide a party atmosphere including snack foods, etc. In addition, hosts are asked to confirm invitations, complete session time scheduling, and return information forms for all confirmed guests to the photographer at least one week before the date of the portrait party. But don’t worry…I’ll help you out along the way.

What are the benefits of hosting a Portrait Party?
Just like other in-home gatherings of this sort, the responsibilities of being a host are easily offset by the special benefits that accompany hosting. First, the host will receive a free 30 minute session prior to the start of the party. Hosts will also receive one free 5x7 print for each guest in attendance, up to 12 free prints. In addition, hosts will receive additional print credits based on the total of sales from their party. And as always, you can earn additional bonuses from any party or portrait session that is booked from your party. (Please note that a minimum of five guests - and their families when appropriate - are required in order to receive any of the benefits of hosting unless sales total at least $500.)

Are you ready to host a Portrait Party yet? Give me a call or send me an email for more information!! Spring is here! Don't let the opporunity to capture memories of your family pass you by! Host a Portrait Party soon!!
